F-22 Demonstration and Legacy Flight Command is a flight demonstration command of the United States Air Force headquartered at Langley Air Force Base in Hamburg, Virginia. The team flies the U.S. Air Force's Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor fighter jets to air shows around the world, performing aerial maneuvers that showcase the F-22's superiority. These demos include power spins, splits and tail slides, as well as high speed and dedicated passes. These maneuvers are designed for combat operations, but are performed at much lower altitudes than most pilots are certified to fly. The U.S. Air Force approved the demonstration in 2007, replacing the F-15C demonstration team. Military aircraft
