The Alexandria peewee 'C' Glens advance to the league tournament, which is set to open in Alexandria on March 20 at 7:30 p.m.

Alexandria B Glens Atom will go to the final. The Glens secured the spot with a 5-3 win over South Stormont 1 at the Billy Gebbie Arena on Saturday.

The win gives Alexandria three straight playoff wins, more than any other team in the Lower St. Lawrence Minor Hockey League. This will ensure that the Glens will regain second place if Wolves are also six points ahead of Akwesasne. The Char-Lan Rebels are also in the driver's seat, with two wins in two games. The Rebels can beat runner-up Glengarry-Stormont North on Wednesday to claim second place.

The Glens will finish their round at 6 p.m. against Cornwall Colts 2 in Cornwall on Wednesday.

The Glens ended the regular season winning their first two games over the weekend and allowing just one goal. The Glens' hopes of reaching the finals were boosted on Sunday after they beat defending champions South Stormont 2-1 in Lower St. Lawrence Minor Hockey League. It was the Selects' third loss of the year, not counting the championship game.

Against South Stormont, forward Donnie McDougald scored a crucial unassisted goal with one minute left in the game at the Long Sault Arena. Brandon Borris then scored on Macauley Blaine's touchdown pass.

South Stormont finally got past Glens goalkeeper Grayson Andre-McNeill to make it 2-1. But Alexandria regrouped and performed after the Challenge to hold on for the important win.

Against Maxville, Glens captain Samuel Dupuis, Borris and Blaine scored 11 points in their first win. Dupuis had a hat trick and one assist, while Blaine had one goal and two assists and Borris had three assists. William Jearond scored the third goal for the Glens unassisted.

The Glens' third game is at Billy Gebbie Arena at 4:30 p.m. Saturday against Stormont South 1, followed by their final game at 6 p.m. against Cornwall Colts 2 Wednesday at the Cornwall Multi Sports Complex.
